  • Advocate at the grassroots level and open space forums for their rights as Indigenous Peoples to be recognized and respected.

How do I establish an APA Unit in my Village?

  • According to the APA’s constitution, at least TEN persons are needed to establish an APA Unit.
  • Newly established Units are required to facilitate elections to identify a Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer. The Unit may also establish Vice-Chairperson, Assistant Secretary and Treasurer positions if deemed necessary.
  • The Unit may decide the number of committee members.
