VACANCY – Project Coordinator

The Amerindian Peoples Association invites suitably qualified persons to apply for the fulltime position of Project Coordinator.
  • Prepare annual work programme and plans of the Association;
  • Coordinate and monitor all project activities to ensure timely implementation, execution and reporting;
  • Coordinate with office and field personnel to ensure all programme and project activities are being properly executed and done in a timely manner;
  • Keep records of APA meetings, discussions, planning sessions, etc. and develop action sheets out of them;
  • Oversee logistics and physical arrangements for workshops, meetings, conferences and other activities;
  • Communicate with project partners to keep them informed of the execution of projects;
  • Communicate with the Association’s Executive Committee to keep them informed of the status of the Association’s projects and programmes;
  • Prepare narrative report for specific projects as required;
  • Prepare quarterly reports of the programme and activities of the Association;
  • Assist in fundraising on behalf of the Association;
  • Carry out other duties within the scope of the projects and programmes of the Association to ensure the effective implementation and management of such activities.
Qualification and Experience:
  • Degree in Project Management or related field(Professional certification would be an asset)
  • 2 years and more experience in managing development projects in an NGO setting.
  • Advance PC skills( Microsoft word, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint etc. or similar)
  • Strong Interpersonal, problem solving and team building skills.
  • Must be able to travel to interior communities from time to time.
